December 20 – 22, 2015 | Naga view Adventist College, Panicuason, Naga City

Southern Luzon Mission (SLM) held its rst Quinquennial Session on December 20 – 22, 2015 at Naga view Adventist College, Panicuason, Naga City.

Pastors Eliseo Garrado and Joven Hitosis, newly elected president and executive secretary respectively, led the business meetings. The session resulted in the election of new set of directors and executive committee members for the year 2016 – 2020 as follows:

Pastor Eliseo Garrado gave the progress report of SLM, in comparison with the past ve years of its operations.

The reports revealed the following:

Sabbath School membership has gained 10.10%; church membership up by 18.21%; Publishing sales up by 10,825,137 or 27.51%; o erings by 35%; tithes with 38% increase; liquidity was 44% and working capital was 50%.

Discussed during the constituency was the acceptance and adoption of the General Conference amendment on the Statement of Mission and its implementation during the GC Annual Meeting of October 13, 2014 to wit; Seventh-day Adventists are called to live and devote oneself to:

1. Christ-like Living
2. Christ-like Communicating 3. Christ-like Discipling
4. Christ-like Teaching
5. Christ-like Healing
6. Christ-like Serving
The session concluded with

a call to “let our candles keep burning, and giving lights to all,” by Pastor Nelson Castillo, NPUC Education Director.
