Literature Evangelists (LE) in Davao City. Over 1,000 delegates convened coming from the three Union Conferences: North Philippine Union Conference (NPUC), Central Philippine Union Conference (CPUC) and South Philippine Union Conference (SPUC).

Guest Publishing Leaders delivered messages, inspiring and encouraging the frontiers of the literature ministry, the literature evangelists. They are Almir Marroni, Publishing Ministries Department Director of the General Conference; Samuel Saw, President of Southern Asia-Pacific Division; Viviencio Bermudez, Publishing Ministries Director and SOP Coordinator, of Southern-Asia Pacific Division; and Florante Ty, President of Philippine Publishing House. Others present were the Tri-Union Administrators, Publishing Directors and literature evangelists.

Elder Marroni gave his message with these words: “Jesus invests His life for the literature evangelists and to the dying world. Learning with Jesus to serve others, and leading them to Him is the best of all choices. The living mission of this ministry is the supreme ideal of our existence. Participating in a very simple way of reaching others will bring more precious souls at the foot of the cross.”

The first Myanmar President for SSD, Samuel Saw said,“Every literature evangelist is my hero and I salute each of you for your faith and trust in God.” Yes, they are heroes for the dying world who needs the Savior’s love. People who are hungry and thirsty for the real change, the inner change of life. Elder Saw continued, “May this convention bring not only additional information and knowledge, but the inspiration for revival, reformation, and transformation. May you respond to your calling with God’s perspective and urgency, and to serve and tell everyone about Christ, our Righteousness.”

Meanwhile, Elder Bermudez highlighted his message into five M’s.

“The MISSION is to reach everyone.

The MESSAGE is Christ our Righteousness.

The MESSENGER is the literature evangelist.

The MINISTRY uses the letter of the printed pages.

The MEASURE or result is a powerful conviction upon the reader.”

For the energetic president of the Philippine Publishing House Elder Ty said, “We must work harder.Literature evangelists are the most tried and tested hardworking missionaries of the church.” Principles from the Bible and counsel from the pen of the Spirit of Prophecy are embedded in their life and ministry. Only a cup of encouragement and motivation they will do and dare for the salvation of the world.
