God is the owner of all things and for this reason, all these things should be secured for the furtherance of God’s mission. The department imparts this principle to the brethren and encourages them to support God’s work through special gifts, trusts, annuities, and bequests. It also seeks to minimize the income, donation, and applicable taxes through lawful means.
